Ruth’s Way’s Summer Forum is finally here! This year our Forum focus is: Job Readiness, Employment Soft Skills, and Smart Money Management!
***PLEASE BE ADVISED that if we are still practicing social distancing then all activities will be VIRTUALLY conducted through Zoom Video Conferencing.
We will have tons of fun while you learn, and have awesome conversations on everything that you need to know about the RIGHT way to go about getting a job, how to KEEP the job once you get it, and how to PROPERLY manage your money so that you don’t waste all that hard work! The best part is, YOU GET PAID while you are learning! Students earn a wage while learning essential Job Readiness and Employment Soft Skills, and Smart Money Management Financial Literacy.
Ruth’s Way’s Job Readiness and Employment Soft Skills Summer Forum is an innovate composure of interactive activities, focusing in the core areas of Communication, Enthusiasm and Attitude, Teamwork, Networking, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking, and Professionalism! We will cover FUN topics like effective job searching, fantastic resume composure, mock interviews and much more!
DATE: June 29th – August 10th, with a training session with Homewood Children’s Village on June 22nd.
DAYS & TIMES: Monday – Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. including lunch provided by Ruth’s Way, Inc.
LOCATION: At Ruth’s Way’s office located at 11524 Frankstown Rd., Pittsburgh, PA. 15235 OR in the instance of continued social distancing enforcement, we will conduct Forums via Zoom Video Conferencing.
WAGE EARNED: Each student will be paid a wage of $7.25/hour for a total of 20 hours per week.
ELIGIBILITY: Forum is open to girls ages 14-21.
